This research poster investigates the feasibility of an earlier abolition of slavery, analizing the established timeline that led to the 1833 Abolition Act. By critically analyzing the factors that influenced the eventual end of slavery, including uprisings by enslaved people, grassroots movements, religious debates, governmental decisions, and economic considerations, this study explores the potential alternative paths that could have accelerated the emancipation process. Through meticulous examination of historical events and contextual analysis, this work raises pertinent questions about the circumstances and decisions that may have hastened the abolition of slavery, encouraging a broader understanding of this crucial historical juncture.

Najma’s (representing her group) poster presentation gives an in-depth introduction to the historical context of abolitionist movement in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. The complexity of the topic does not prevent Najma and her team from demonstrating various social and political aspects in a clear and concise manner. All in all, it is a great example of how an academic poster should be presented.
