6. Introduction: In the context of the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI), the humanities and social sciences are no longer positioned solely as retrospective observers, but are emerging as essential partners in innovation, collaborating alongside technological development to shape future societies. AI is profoundly transforming knowledge production, social structures, and everyday life, while simultaneously challenging fundamental understandings of humanity, ethics, culture, and public values. Drawing on diverse humanistic and social perspectives, this lecture examines new possibilities for collaboration between AI and the humanities and social sciences. Through interdisciplinary dialogue and concrete case studies, it explores how ethical responsibility, cultural context, and social considerations can be meaningfully integrated into technological design, innovation, and application. The lecture invites participants to reconsider the evolving role of the humanities and social sciences in the age of AI and seeks to foster forward-looking, socially responsible, and publicly engaged forms of collaboration.
